Arts Affinity Group
As Advocates for learning through the arts, The Denver Foundation’s Arts Affinity Group (AAG) provides grants to advance innovation and engagement in the Metro Denver arts community.
The AAG started in 2013 to bring arts philanthropists together to build connections with other inspired donors, learn together about the artists and organizations that use their creations to inspire, and to highlight Metro Denver’s thriving arts community. Quarterly luncheons expose members to the best and most innovative ideas, organizations and thought leaders throughout the city. The AAG members also pool resources to make grants to support and leverage innovation through the annual Colorado Art Tank.

Since inception, the AAG has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to dozens of nonprofit arts organizations that are changing Denver into the world class creative city it is. Since 2014, the group has produced Colorado Art Tank, an interactive community event showcasing Denver’s best artists and creative projects. Finalists are selected through an open application process and invited to present their business unusual projects in front of a live audience and a panel of arts community leaders. Art Tank encourages arts organization to conceive and present bold, innovative ideas to compete for funding awarded through live voting at the finale of the event.
