CRITICAL NEEDS FUND
The Denver Foundation operates a Critical Needs Fund that can be activated to meet essential community needs outside of the normal course of our grantmaking.
This fund has been activated three times since its creation. The first time was in 2005 to address dramatically rising energy costs and the resulting effect on local nonprofit organizations.
The fund has also been activated to:
- meet a challenge in provision of food to schoolchildren during the summer months
- help address hunger during the economic downturn
- help the Aurora community respond to the shootings at Aurora Town Center
- help address Women’s Homelessness
You can help by giving any amount to Critical Needs Fund.
