Sharon Harper
Sharon Harper is the Director of Scholarship Programs at The Denver Foundation. She has worked in Financial Aid and Scholarships for eighteen years in both private and public four-year schools.  Holding an MBA in Finance and Accounting and an MA in Psychology, she brings a variety of experiences into her work with creating solid and lasting relationships between scholarship donors, the higher education community, and the students our donors endeavor to support. Sharon’s focus is on maximizing student’s awards, donor stewardship, and institutional accountability.  When not working, she enjoys reading, cooking, and travelling.

Niki Herrera
Niki Herrera joined The Denver Foundation in 2016 as the Reisher Scholarship Assistant Officer. Having worked in the nonprofit sector since 2004, Niki is committed to empowering people to reach their full potential through access to education.

Niki holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.A. in International Studies, with concentrations in Human Rights and Nonprofit Management, from the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Previously, Niki worked at the Latin American Educational Foundation as the Marketing and Program Manager, at Regis University as the Director of Annual Support Programs and in the Office of Admissions at The University of Denver’s Morgridge College of Education. In her spare time, Niki enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her partner Brian and their two dogs.

Emily Stanley
Emily joined The Denver Foundation Scholarship Team in 2013. Previously, Emily was the Director of Edge of Seven, an early stage international development nonprofit that works with educational opportunities for girls worldwide. She has six years of scholarship management experience from her work at Outword Bound where she served as the Associate Director of Scholarships and managed the Pinnacle Scholarship Program, a full-tuition scholarship and mentoring program for high-potential, low-income, urban youth.

Emily holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a focus on Entrepreneurship and a BA from James Madison University in English Literature with a focus on fiction writing. Previously, Emily worked in evaluation for JVA Consulting and as an ESL instructor. She is proficient in Spanish. Emily enjoys the outdoors and spending quality time with her two toddlers and husband, Ben.
