Through our Community Grants Program and donor-advised fund holders, The Denver Foundation has a long history of support for organizations that help veterans as part of their client base - including the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Jefferson Center for Mental Health, and many other groups.
The Denver Foundation works to reduce disparities and promote equity for the most vulnerable members of our community. This work includes helping veterans transition back to civilian life, where one key area of concern is housing. Like all residents, our veterans need safe places to call home. With this basic need met, they are better able to address other challenges that may result from prolonged or multiple deployments, such as physical and mental health, family stability, and re-entering the job market.
