Supporting outstanding environmental action


The Denver Foundation is pleased to invite qualified nonprofits to apply for funding from the Environmental Affinity Group.

The Environmental Affinity Group is a network of informed, engaged, and effective environmental philanthropists who identify, promote, and support outstanding environmental action on a wide range of issues in Colorado. The group engages in collective giving, in which financial contributions made by members are pooled to fuel grantmaking to nonprofit community organizations across Metro Denver.

The Environmental Affinity Group is developing its funding strategy and the new priorities will be posted in the first quarter of 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a 501(c) (3) fiscal sponsor.
  • Your organizations must be located in and do work in Metro Denver.
  • If you received a grant from the Environmental Affinity Group prior to 2022 and would like to reapply, you will be required to submit a final report on work funded by the previous application.
  • Your organization’s budget must be less than $1 million to be eligible to apply for general operating support.

Not eligible for funding:  

  • Previous-year grantees are not eligible for current-year funding.

Additional information

Selected applicant organizations will be asked to participate in a brief conversation with members of the Environmental Affinity Group.
