The Denver Foundation highly values and depends on the experiences and insights of volunteers. We could not accomplish our mission without the help and input of diverse representation of our community. While only a small number of volunteer slots are available each year, we welcome nominations for the following committees:
The Basic Human Needs Committee is responsible for guiding the development of The Denver Foundation’s work in the areas of food, shelter, basic medical care, and safety from domestic violence.
The Communications and Marketing Committee is responsible for planning, monitoring, and evaluating activities designed to achieve the public outreach, marketing, and positioning goals of The Denver Foundation.
The Economic Opportunity Committee is responsible for guiding the development of The Denver Foundation’s work to help foster interconnected, culturally vibrant communities in which low-income residents have the tools and opportunities necessary for jobs and careers that lead to economic self-sufficiency.
The Education Committee is responsible for guiding the development of The Denver Foundation’s work in the area of P-12 education.
The Inclusiveness Project Committee is responsible for informing and supporting the integration of inclusiveness and racial equity values and activities throughout The Denver Foundation’s work.
The Philanthropic Leadership Committee is responsible for overseeing and guiding the Community Leadership work of The Denver Foundation including its focus on resident engagement; inclusiveness and racial equity; and community leadership.
The Professional Advisors Council is responsible for promoting philanthropy among financial and legal professionals and their clients.
The Philanthropic Services Committee is responsible for the overall planning, monitoring and evaluating of all activities related to the operations of the Philanthropic Services Group.
The Strengthening Neighborhoods Committee is responsible for guiding the development of The Denver Foundation's work in the area of resident-centered community building.
To nominate yourself or someone else for one of the advisory committees, please fill out the Nomination Form.
Unfortunately, there are very few volunteer opportunities at The Denver Foundation, and there are hundreds of people who would like to serve on a committee. Any gift that you would like to give of your time and expertise would be valuable to the nonprofit sector. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to volunteer for other local nonprofit organizations. You can contact Metro Volunteers www.metrovolunteers.org and Volunteers of Colorado www.voacolorado.org for volunteer opportunities.
Please contact Adrienne Mansanares if you have any questions or would like additional information.
