Colorado Press Association – College Journalism Faculty Program
College journalism professors who teach at four-year colleges or universities in Colorado are selected to complete a 2 week internship at the newspaper of their choice.  The internship is designed to give college journalism professors the opportunity to meet with publishers, editors, advertising directors, and production managers to discuss current newspaper operations, technology, news-gathering, business models, and ethics.  A $500 stipend is provided upon successful completion of the internship.  To learn more about the eligibility requirements and application process please click on the link below. Colorado Press Association - High School Newspaper Adviser Program
Teachers and professional school staff members are selected to complete a 2 week internship at the newspaper of their choice.  The internship is designed to give high school newspaper advisors the opportunity to meet with publishers, editors, advertising directors, and production managers to discuss news coverage, ad sales, technology, page design and editing.  A $500 stipend is provided upon successful completion of the internship.  To learn more about the eligibility requirements and application process please click on the link below. Columbine Memorial Scholarship (for Teachers and Professional Staff)
One $1,500 scholarship awarded annually to a Jefferson County high school teacher or professional staff member. The 2012 application deadline is March 12.  To learn more about the eligibility requirements and the application process click on the link below.

The Mikkelson Mathematics and Science Teachers Scholarship
Scholarships of varying amounts awarded to elementary, middle, and high school math and science teachers for use toward attending short courses, seminars, and workshops which will improve their depth of knowledge of the objects they teach.  The application deadline for 2012 scholarships is March 28, 2012.  Detailed application information is available at www.mikkelson.com.

Never Forgotten Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded annually in memory of the 13 victims at Columbine High School in 1999. Selected schools are encouraged to nominate one student and one teacher who are active volunteers and considered to be leaders in their school and larger communities.
